PLANNING – to bring order/coherence to an idea prior to its manifestation

SPATIAL PLANNING – as above with regard to the arrangement of space

DESIGN – to create something for a specific function

URBAN DESIGN – as above on the scale of a town or city

DEVELOPMENT – growth/evolution of an area to achieve a potential

RE-DEVELOPMENT – growth/evolution of an area according to a new potential

MASTER PLANNING – to create a whole plan outlining the future development of an area

PUBLIC SPACE – space that is open for public habitation, open and accessible to all

PLACE – a specific area/ site defined in relation to others, e.g. landmark, point of orientation, an area defined by its particular cultural, economic, social factors

FACADE – the projection of a building to the public realm

RE – prefix...

3) back or backward: recall
